April athlete of the month is Lauren Raby! We’re so happy to have you as part of our family and love watching you progress over such a short period of time. ❤️

Hey, I’m Lauren. I am active duty and got stationed here last summer. I’m one of the OB/GYNs at Blanchfield. I’ve played team sports all my life, last time I was competitive was in college. I played Division III lacrosse. After that, I’ve spent a lot of time either running or going to the gym but without a whole lot of guidance. I joined DCL in August, essentially the first week I got into town. I knew enough about CrossFit that I thought it was something that would suit me, but I made up a lot of excuses not to bite the bullet and start it. I’m glad I took the plunge here. I’m a 0530 class person, every day I can. I switched to 1100 when I was working night shift for 6 weeks. The 0530 class just sets the tone for the rest of my day and the whole week. Plus we have the pups! I already feel a big change in how I feel physically, but definitely helps mentally as well. I’m grateful for the coaches and the other athletes for making such a great environment to work out and hang out in. I’m looking forward to getting better and maybe even compete in the future. Thanks again everyone for being such a great group!
